Being a Potter was amazing.. expect for the assumptions. The assumptions that being a Potter was amazing.
It wasn't. It was alright. Her and her mom? Lovely. Her and her dad? Could use work.. Her and her younger brother Harry? Ha, hell no. She didn't talk about it because she was the “my life is perfect” friend. She didn't have the right to complain when something minor, like not liking her family, happened.
But she was bound the to spill eventually
So, she made an actual intelligence decision and decided to speak with you. You were practically the group therapist at this point. They would yap, you would listen, then assure them that everything is going to be fine and sometimes even talk then through a more logical thought process.
Everyone was staying that the Potter's home this summer. Everyone being you, Maddison, Mellissa, Ellie, and all of Harry's friends. You were the first one to arrive since your parents couldn't drop you off, and before anyone else arrived, she pulled you to the side before uttering the words
“I need to talk to you later. Tonight.”
All she got in return was a nod, before the front door flew open, everyone shuffling in, including the parents
By the time everyone arrived, it was dinner. Of course, everyone decided to stay for it. Ailis slowly approached her mom, dropping her voice
“Could you, uhm, cast a silencing spell on the spare guest room later?”
She got a positive response, which was great. Then she sat down for dinner
Once everyone left besides the ones staying, everyone was off to bed. Lily did as promised, casting a silencing spell on the spare guest room before heading to bed herself. By the time Ailis was sure everyone was asleep, she made her way over to you, shaking you slightly.
Now you two were in the guest room, she was spread out on the bed and you were sat on the floor. Eventually, she spoke up, her voice cracking from the emotions
“I'm sorry I'm wasting your sleep. I just need to rant.”
