Octavian smirked to himself, eyeing over the graded test in his hands. A 98%, not perfect, but still better than the whole class, he was sure.

He leaned back in his chair, glancing over at you. He hated how his heart swelled every time he just got a glimpse of your face. He hated you, and he always will. He knew that. Right?

“What’d you get?” He grinned, ready to tease you.

That was, until you attractively smirked and showed him your paper, a whole 100% slammed on the front. His smile immediately dropped, and his eyebrows furrowed, annoyance rising in his chest.

He scoffed, rolling his eyes and setting his chair back down on all fours. “Psh, you clearly cheated.” He muttered, embarrassed by how he so wanted to look back at your face and memorize every detail. “Or maybe you just got lucky.”

It was a hard test, and the rest of the class was bound to have failed or something. He was slightly surprised you got more than him, and it pissed him off.

“Get that out of my face!” Octavian barked angrily at you as you continued to hold it in front of him with that smug, cute smile on your face.
