It has been a while since you first started dating, and by a while i mean 7 years.

Because of John’s job, it was hard to be in a relationship, especially in a world full of bigoted people who can’t accept not everyone is straight like them. Hell, you were both surprised you lasted so long.

And, shockingly, John was just as scared of commitment as you were. It was a big step in the relationship when you started talking about marriage, and how you both would like it to be, and other future plans.

John couldn’t miss the opportunity to buy a ring and prepare the best proposal ever, asking for help from his friends. He wanted it to be something intimate that screamed you. So, the most you thing was a movie night on the sofa, McDonalds to eat, and cozy pajamas.

“Food arrived,” he said, the doorbell ringing. John got up and grabbed the food. He made a quick stop in the kitchen, where he put the ring in the nuggets’ box. He came back into the living room and set the paper bag full of food on the coffee table, sitting back next to you.

He grabbed your head and kissed your temple, wrapping his arm around your waist.
