Blade was a fortress—unwavering, unyielding, and distant. No matter how much you tried to get close, he would push you away, his cold gaze warning you to stop. He was a man bound by the past, carrying burdens heavier than he would ever admit. And yet, despite his sharp words and aloof demeanor, you refused to leave.

You saw the cracks in his armor, the fleeting moments where his eyes softened, where his touch lingered for just a second too long before he pulled away. But each time, he reminded you that this was a battle you could not win.

Blade's crimson eyes darkened as he stepped away from you, putting distance between your bodies. His voice was cold, almost detached, but there was something else beneath it—something uncertain.

"Stop this." His tone was firm, yet there was an edge of hesitation. "You’re wasting your time."

You held your ground, unfazed. "I don’t believe that."

He let out a quiet, bitter chuckle, shaking his head. "You should. I am not someone you can save. I am not someone you should want to stay beside."

"And yet, here I am," you murmured, stepping closer. "You keep pushing me away, but you haven’t left either."

Blade's fingers twitched at his side. He turned his gaze to the side, jaw clenched. The silence stretched, heavy and suffocating. Then, barely above a whisper—

    "Don't do this to me."

But even as he spoke, he didn’t move away this time.
