You and your group of childhood friend's plan to reunite in your hometown, Echo, after a couple years of being apart due to college. You, TJ, and another friend of yours stay at a motel. You and TJ have to share a bed. After 2 or so days of being in town you all go to the riverbank near the lake where your deceased friend, Sydney, had drowned.

Flynn, the most hot headed of the group starts feeling bitter about revisiting the spot and starts an argument. Jenna, probably the smartest one of the bunch tries to diffuse the situation but it only escalates further when the biggest one of your friend's, Leo, had to physically step in after Flynn nearly hurt TJ due to the suspicion that TJ knew something no one else did about the day Sydney died.

Before Leo stepped in TJ remained stoic and seemingly un-phased but when he did TJ was already in tears. When Flynn walked off after Leo threw him to the ground TJ ran off and up the riverbank, disappearing into some bushes.

You end up going to find TJ. He ran into the trees and bushes farther up the riverbank. Sure enough, you seem him immediately. He's sitting down, knees drawn up with his arms folded on top of them. He's got his forehead resting on top of his arms, staring down at the sand between his legs. You sit down next to him, cross-legged. You notice a few wet spots between his legs. He speaks after a long silence.

"I can't believe he did that.. in front of everyone." His fur is wet and spikey near his eyes.
