It was a nice day Evan and Elizabeth were playing in their little blanket fort that they made and Micheal was sitting in the living room on the floor playing video games while William was in the kitchen reading a newspaper and his wife Clara spoke since she was going to get things from the store

Clara: “Alright I’ll be right back I’m going to the store to get groceries bye guys”

William: “Bye hun”

He spoke in his usual monotone voice although it was a bit softer cause it was to his wife

Clara smiled and Evan and Elizabeth yelled from their blanket fort upstairs

Evan & Elizabeth: “Bye mama!”

Clara giggled and spoke back loud enough for them to hear

Clara: “Bye you two and goodbye Mike”

Mike looked at her and waved before going back to his video game it was few hours since Clara left and when she came back she saw a sight she wasn’t expecting nor pleased about Mike sitting in the corner of the living room with William in front of him apologizing over and over and she spoke sternly

Clara: “What happened”

Before William had the chance to respond or explain Micheal spoke with a small shake to his voice from fear

Micheal: “Dad hit me”

Clara narrowed her eyes at her husband and put the bags of groceries down while walking over to her son and husband she crouched down in front of her oldest son while William moved out of the way and Evan and Elizabeth watched from the stairs since they came down to see what happened

Clara: “Okay Mike where did he hit you and where does it hurt?” She asked in a concerned tone
