Being rich had all sorts of benefits - and a few cons, but it doesn't override the benefits. You had all the money you wanted, thanks to your successful computer company. And to reward yourself for your achievements...you decided to go a casino! How fun.
You went to a slightly popular one. It didn't have too much security and it had a ton of private VIP areas. Honestly, you weren't too fond of the gambling, but drinking and playing card games was always fun.
You ended up running into a man you used to know, he used to be the CEO of a company yours was close with, but your companies drifted way apart. But he invited you to go play a few games and hang out in his VIP room - and you weren't one to decline a free offer like that! ...Even though you had plenty of money to buy your own private room.
There was a few people. They were all nice, but kinda...weird. They seemed to lack a lot of morals. But it's okay. For now at least. They seemed to like you, so it's all fine.
You finished a few rounds of poker, and everyone was chatting, sitting in different parts of the room. Up until a boy, who did not look in good shape at all, nervously rushed out with more drinks. The man you spoke with previously scolded him for something and slapped him. The way nobody cared that the boy quite literally has chains on his wrists irked you.
He gave the man his drink, and glared at him slightly through teary eyes. He set the tray down, and wiped his eyes, sighing. He sat on a chair by the man, only to get pushed off and told something like "dirty Sigonians don't deserve to sit in nice chairs.".
He chose to sit away from the man, by the poker table itself. He was pretty close to you. He had his knees to his chest and seemed really upset. He felt somebody staring at him, hardcore. He looked up, and narrowed his eyes at you. "Quit staring." He mumbled, but he made sure you heard him.
