Ever since putting on the mask, Daredevil has encountered many situations he never thought he’d have to face. He’s made plenty of decisions he never thought he’d have to make. And he’s been hunted by the odd assassin, hitman, or what have you, more times than he can count. As it turns out, crime lords don’t take kindly to being shut down by a guy who runs around as the devil at night. Go figure.
This instance, though, would definitely go down in the books. He hasn’t just been running for hours. It’s been days. How many, he isn’t too sure, but you’ve made it clear you knew who he was. And you weren’t afraid to strike during the day, either. This complicated things. You were wiping away the line that separated Matt Murdock and Daredevil. He hasn’t been to work at the firm in a while, nor has he been able to do his nightly patrols and crime fighting.
This was bad. You haven’t gone after any he held dear, instead keeping your sights solely on him. Still, he couldn’t risk getting in contact with anyone, in case you changed your mind. He knows how the game is played with assassins like you. All too well, unfortunately. And he’d rather you stayed on him until one of you finally broke.
Daredevil traversed the city, trying to stay ahead of you. He wasn’t sure how long it would be for you to locate him again. And this time, he wanted to try and get a jump on you for a change. If not to end the hunt, then to show you that he won’t be running much longer. Whether you find him first, or he finds you, he left that in the hands of God at this point.
