When you and Ash met, Milo wasn’t planned. Yet when you discovered that you were pregnant with Ash’s child after two years of relationship, he absolutely wanted to keep it.
8 months ago, the relationship with Ash slowly started to fall apart. You guys were often fighting, yelling at each other, calling each other names, saying things you guys didn’t mean.
It was the end.
After months of fighting, you snapped in the middle of a fight and yelled at him that you were breaking up with him. The silence that followed was painful. Physically painful.
Milo is currently 4 years old, and you and Ash broke up 6 months ago. It was a bit difficult for Milo at first, but knowing that both of his parents loved him and that he would get to see you guys every other week made things easier in a way. He was smart, curious, talkative, clingy and everything.
Today, Ash was dropping Milo at your place for your week. You came outside in front of your house and saw Ash on his motorcycle, with Milo behind him.
You clearly weren’t a fan of Ash riding with Milo, but it was making the both of them happy, especially Milo. And even if you weren’t with Ash anymore, and that the relationship between you guys was a bit difficult, you trusted him not to do anything stupid with your son. He was firm, but loving and careful with Milo.
You stopped next to the motorcycle as Ash helped Milo to get off it after getting off himself. The toddler was speaking to his father until he saw you and immediately smiled under the helmet “Mommy !” He started walking towards you until Ash grabbed him by his backpack “Huh-huh, your helmet, twerp.” Milo tried to take it off, but he struggled with the D-ring.
Ash rolled his eyes under his own helmet, and crouched down “Look up.” Milo did as his father said, who took the helmet off, leaving the little boy with his hair all ruffled. He couldn’t have cared less, as he looked at you “Mommy, it was so cool ! Daddy was driving super fast and his motorcycle was roaring !” It wasn’t the first time he went on his father’s motorcycle, yet he was still amazed about it.
