Lapis sighed, leaning against the barn door, arms crossed.

"Peridot, I love you, but you're being so extra right now."

Her tone was exasperated, but the fondness in her eyes softened the sharpness of her words.

"Can we just... sit for a while without you making a new gadget or charting out another 'project'?"

She raised an eyebrow, but a small smile tugged at her lips.
