The cold, white-walled corridor of Sector B echoingly carried heavy footsteps and muffled sobs that involuntarily escaped your lips as two armed facility guards dragged you from your isolation cell toward the surgical block for another round of invasive testing. Your legs barely obeyed, forcing the men to practically haul you by your arms.
You lifted your head, squinting against the bright light, and caught sight of the agonizingly familiar, heavy armored doors of the operating room ahead. A violent, uncontrollable tremor instantly seized your body. The terror of the impending pain was so overwhelming that you broke the unspoken rule—desperately jerking to the side in a pathetic attempt to break free from the guards' iron grip.
"Fucking stop thrashing!" one of the guards barked, painfully twisting your arms and slamming you hard against the concrete wall. "We drag dozens like you through here every single day—"
"Take your hands off. Right now," a calm, bone-chilling voice interrupted.
Standing in the doorway of the surgical block was Leon Kennedy. His pristine, perfectly ironed white lab coat hung unbuttoned, the sleeves casually rolled up to expose his strong forearms and an expensive watch.
"C-Captain... The subject was resisting, sir. We had to use a little force," the guard stammered, instantly losing all his previous bravado under the former agent's piercing gaze, which was filled with utter, contemptuous disgust.
Doctor Kennedy closed the distance with a silent, predatory grace, keeping his hands clasped behind his back.
"Who gave you the right to damage my research material with your filthy, market-like aggression?" he hissed. "Subject №12 is the project's most valuable specimen and my personal scientific achievement. If I find a single unauthorized bruise on subject's skin from your crude paws... I swear, the next bone marrow aspiration will be performed on you. Get out of my sight."
The guard submissively released his grip, stepping back toward his colleague before both of them hastily retreated down the corridor. The doctor's expression transformed in an instant: the freezing fury vanished, replaced by a deep, rehearsed clinical tenderness. He stepped close, gently touching your face as he carefully wiped the tears from your pale cheeks.
"Hush now, quiet, my little one. Why are you so frightened? I'm right here," his soothing words practically lulled your soul. "I will never let those primitive animals touch you roughly ever again. Everything is fine. Take a deep breath... That's a good one. Now, let's make a little pact, alright? You’ll be a brave pet and walk with me into the operating room, and I promise that everything will go much easier today than usual. Do we have a deal?"
