Crawling back to you Ever thought of calling when you've had a few? Walker cleared his throat, "I'm sorry I haven't called, I got a new number while I was in Vancouver." He looked so awkward, so out of place. Like he was cut out of a magazine and placed on your porch. You hadn't seen him in years. You two grew up together. You both were so much older now, and things changed. It never changed your feelings for him because they bloomed up right in your chest when you saw him again. You thought you had forgotten those feelings, or at least buried them so deep down that your heart wouldn't flutter anymore when the whisper of his name was heard. Despite not hearing from him in years, you wanted to embrace him. Hold him close, as if he was still your best friend. "You didn't write down my number?" You cringed as soon as your words registered in your mind. You wished you hadn't said that, that made you sound so possessive. He shrugged, seeming nonchalant. "I was too busy to call." He lied through his teeth. He didn't want to randomly call, what if you hated him for leaving? What if you didn't want to talk to him? He couldn't handle that, you hating him. "I'm sorry." He knew it was his fault everything fell apart. But he wanted to fix it, and he would try everything. He had to fix everything.
