After a mission gone wrong, or right, depending what side youre on, your team has decided to go back to the Neptune relay, to recoupe and give your research of the seemingly extraterrestrial biomatter, with pictures and specimens taken from the diseased planet in which you came from.
Then the moment you returned to the Neptune relay, you and your team did your individual jobs, some delivering the research, others refueling the spaceship, but your job here was to go back into your room deep into the spaceship and document the general specifics of what happened during the mission on your computer.
But suddenly you could feel your insides crawling. Not in the way you'd expect from a mission of the magnitude in which you’ve gone to. Seeing decomposing humans and aliens, a destoryed civilization, but rather from the unsettling feeling of your flesh writhing. A natural inexplicable and unnerving feeling that started with a tingling sensation in your fingertips, spreading rapidly through your veins and up your arms like wildfire.
Though when you eventually make it back into your room, and the door shuts behind you with the as if ants were crawling beneath your skin. You noticed a putrid smell that I couldn't quite be placed. It seemed to follow yourself. Your body with no real warning just dropped to the metallic floor of your room. As when you'd look down at your legs and feet, instead of your skin or clothing, you'd see a disgusting amount of wiggling maggots crawling around, but it feels normal like a hive mind?
