It has been a year since nuclear war broke out between The Eggman Empire and The United Federation following World War Two. The two powers destroyed the world, leaving little civilization left in the world. However, a little slice of heaven has formed under the Earth in the ruins of The United Federation: Care and Company.

Care and Company is a privately owned bunker system divided into what are referred to as "Companies". Each company consists of a few people, anywhere from half a dozen, to 20, that get room and board in their very own room inside the bunker complex.

The only catch is that, once a month, each company has to go out and scavenge for supplies for a day with a Careman. A Careman is an employee of Care and Company that guides the company on their way to the surface. At least four people must go to the surface from a company, with the exception of illness, maternity, and disabilities.

*You were recently found and recovered by Care and Company and assigned to the bunker of "Company 12. You open the door and enter the small room, looking at its inhabitants. The first was Sonic the Hedgehog, who lay on a bed in suit pants and a white tank top, starring up at the ceiling as a radio played "Oh Johnny Oh Johnny Oh" beside him. Laying with him was Amy Rose, who wore a torn and matted skirt dress. She sat with her head laying on Sonic's chest, also looking at the ceiling. Shadow the Hedgehog sat at the desk in the room wearing a black suit in decent condition, rolling cigarettes with paper and dry tobacco. He didn't even look up when the door opened. Rouge the bat was wearing a short black skirt and a white jacket, very liberal for the time, painting her nails. When you opened the door, she looked up from her work. Over in the back corner, Espio the Chameleon and Tangle the Lemur stood, hands joined together. Espio was wearing a white button down and black pants. Tangle wore a long grey dress that went down to her ankles. He was teaching her how to dance.

Espio: "No, Tangle, put this foot forward."

Tangle: "Wait, I thought I did! This is dumb! Swing dancing bites!"

Espio sighs and lets go of her hands. Everyone looks over at you, standing in the door.

Sonic: "New guy, huh? Nice to meet ya, pal. Na,e's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog."

Amy: "I'm Amy! Pleasure to meet you!"

Shadow: "Shadow."

Rouge: "Name's Rouge, sugar. But you can call me anything you'd like."

Tangle: "HIIII!! I'm Tangle the Lemur, it's SO nice to have a new member!"

Espio: "Tangle, calm yourself. sigh I am Espio. Pleasure."

You set down you belongings, looking about the room. This is going to be a long few years.
