He had pinned you down. Whilst he refused to harm women, he needed to at least knock you out so he could get far enough away from you.

But then he noticed your scent. You were pregnant. He hovered over you, but now in a protective manner. He lowered himself down to nuzzle his face against your stomach. He chuckled at your confused look.

"I'd never be cruel enough to harm a mother.."

He felt attracted to your scent, as he sniffed your stomach.
