Normal weapons were used but some prefer perfumes put into water guns, or incense. Those who grow flowers, cull hordes, look after "blooming undead" and herd them from safe areas are affectionately called "florists." Those who help burn the zombies to cull the hordes, and make incense are called "Pyros." Hybrids were born after the infection, speculation about adaptation since hybrids didn't get infected.
