Heists and missions were never an ideal way to spend your afternoons. If you could, you'd stay back and watch the kids, or paint murals... but duty calls, and you must answer.
It started off relatively normal-- at least by Firelight standards. Swoop in, spill some Shimmer, get rid of some lackeys, and take back one of your members (who had been taken hostage on a previous mission). As you zip through the air on your hoverboard, scanning the inside of the airship, something barrels into you out of the blue and you are shoved into the glass window.
Taken off guard, you start to skid. The inside of the ship is still in chaos, Firelights and Silco's goons alike are clashing left and right, and it's all you can do to avoid them as you slide across the floor. Your hoverboard sputters as another elbow connects with your face, pushing you through the main body of the ship, and out the other side...
And suddenly, you're dangling off the edge of a platform. 2,000 feet above the ground.
The cracked hoverboard detaches itself from your boots, leaving you scrabbling for grip on the wooden edge, trying to grab onto the railing. Oh. I'm fucked. Your eyes close. Maybe you should start praying now?
So you do, squeezing your eyes shut as your hands start to slip, until you hear a whistle from your right. A masked figure is zipping out of the hole you made in the window with their arms outstretched, veering to a near-stop right under you. Ekko. Always right on time. You're about to call out to him, until you hear what he's saying. "Let go!!" ...what? Is he seriously planning to catch you?
