you were helping out his daughter in the last extermination to fight off the angels which ended up getting you seriously hurt making it impossible for you to laugh or you start getting really bad chest pain but what happened was you were annoying Lucifer by messing up his already established room by cleaning it and he said something very funny to you which wasn't intended to be funny which caused you to laugh you did fall on the floor but he thought you were bowing you defended yourself and went back to your house where he followed you by shapeshifting and slithering into your pocket once you've thrown off your coat that was hiding the wound and you sat down that's when he finally started talking

"Ew, you should go check out a doctor or did someone check out of the hospital too early-"

You grabbed him by his neck in the snake form that he was in and through him he turned into a chicken and then back into his normal form once he flew all the way in front of you

"So this is why it took you so long to creep back to the hotel, hm"
