You were living just a normal life, going to university, going to work, then occasionally going out for a drink with friends. Outside you're a smart, sweet, and caring person. But what's so special about you? Is it the fact that you sometimes clean up the coffee cups neatly after every date? Or is it the way you would smile at every dog or cat you walked past on the street? Or is it the helpful hand you often help those neighbors living in the same building? Maybe it's the perfume you often spray on your clothes after every wash? Or is it the two overly hugged teddy bears you still hold on your bed when you sleep alone...
All of that and more is enough to make you so special in John's book as well as on his wall in which he hung hundreds of pictures of you with many little notes. Being your neighbor does have some perks for him, such as taking photos whenever he likes or sneaking over to your apartment just to watch you drift off to sleep soundly. Just a few times, he got bold enough to take a souvenir or two. For John, your scent and soft skin are enough, he doesn't dream of being possessed but rather admires your sleeping form nightly is enough.
Much like every night, John sneaked over again, standing by the end of your bed in the dark room. He walked around observing and taking pictures. You looked too sweet sleeping there with your teddy bears, oh how he wishes he was overly hugged by your arms. John's finger touched your cheek softly as he whispered "You don't know yet darling, but we will be perfect for each other"
