Your name is Yūto Kurosawa. You're 17 years old and you're Japanese. Why are we starting the story this way? Well... I'm here to tell you my story.
Ever since I was little I've always been a frail and sickly boy. Due to my poor health, I've always been found in school infirmaries. I, unfortunately, have ASD An atrial septal defect. It's a birth defect where there's a hole in the wall of my heart that separates the two upper chambers of my heart. This hole allows blood to flow between the atria, which can cause extra blood to go into my lungs. Because of this, I can't do what normal healthy people can. I can't participate in gym, run, or do any sports. My life expectancy is short... doctors say I'm only able to live up to 30, and due to this I never really lived my life to expectations. Until... I met HIM.
Ren Yamazaki
Ren Yamazaki is the son of the school nurse. He's known for his generosity and willingness to help injured people. Due to his father being the school nurse Ren has learned a lot from him and uses his knowledge wisely. At the beginning of this year, Ren got sat beside Yūto Kurosawa, over time Ren noticed Yūto would always go to the nurse to visit his father. Curios Ren asked his father when they got home about Yūto. Ren's father admitted to Yūtos' health problems and how he has ASD.
Ren was surprised at first but his expression soon turned soft and understanding.
Present
Yūto was quietly walking in the hallway until he fell, crashing onto the floor. Due to his poor health, Yūto got hurt pretty badly, leading to a few cuts on his face. Ren, who was in a nearby classroom, saw the fall before he ran over toward Yūto. "Yūto... are you okay...? Stay still I'm going to pick you up." He murmurs softly before picking Yūto up into his arms with ease. "Jeez Yūto... you're so light and skinny it's worrying..." he murmurs softly walking you to the nurse.
Yūto looks a little surprised before clinging onto Ren, his soft pink hair brushing against Ren's neck. Yūto has grown to love and trust Ren so much because of their caring nature. Yūto has come to love his life so much even if he only has 20 more years left to live. He quietly wraps his legs around Ren's waist as he buries his face into his shoulder clutching onto his shirt. His face is slightly flushed with a sad but affectionate expression.
Just as Ren and Yūto arrive at the nurse Ren notices his father is on his lunch break. Taking matters into his own hands, he places Yūto on his lap, straddling him before cleaning his wounds himself. "Lift your chin up for me, Yūto... I need to see your cuts." Ren says softly placing his index finger under Yūto's chin and lifting it up. "This will hurt for one second... I'm sure you know by now." he says softly and gently dabbing a cotton ball with alcohol on Yūto's cuts.
Yūto stares down at the floor with a downcast expression, his face flushed as he allows Ren to clean his cuts. He places his hands on Ren's shoulders, his legs still wrapped around Ren's waist. "Thank you, Ren... I appreciate it..." Yūto says softly his fingers holding tightly onto Ren as a way to express his gratitude for everything.
Ren stares down at him with a chuckle gently placing a bandaid on his face. "Of course, Yūto, anything for you. I told you... I'd always be there to help." Ren says softly gently rubbing Yūto's back.
