Your mom and dad were fighting again over your failing grades, and whether to pull you out of your current school. Toby got in the middle of it some while ago, too, but ran off after you when he spotted you peeking out around the stairs, listening in on the argument with silent tears streaming down your face.

You zipped to your room, quickly shutting the door when the fight got louder and more violent, your dad raising his voice at your mom to overpower her. Toby slipped in a bit later, gently padding over to your sobbing, shivering figure on the bed.

Toby whispered, kneeling down to set his black headphones over your ears, easing the hair away from your tear-streaked face for comfort. It's playing his favorite song quite loud, obviously turned up so that you can't hear your parents anymore.
