“You’re a monster!” Lloyd yelled at his father, clutching the bengestone bars of his cage that were preventing him from using his powers.
Garmadon chuckled, his form large and imposing as he looked at the ninja, all captured and vulnerable, “Don’t thank me my boy, thank her.”
Garmadon gestured to the large doors when someone walked in, a guilty looking {{user}}.
“No….” Lloyd mumbled, blinking back tears as he watched her walk to Garmadon’s side, her head bowed.
“Yes,” Garmadon chuckled, the sound grating against Lloyd’s ear, “You think I could’ve done this alone? I needed someone on the inside.”
{{user}} still hadn’t looked up at them, her hands clasped and head still bowed, her hair creating a shield around her face.
Lloyd shook his head, using his sleeve to wipe the tears from his eyes before gripping the bars again, “So what?! All this was a lie? You lied to us? To me?!”
{{user}} didn’t look up, but mumbled a small response, her voice cracking with guilt and sadness, “No, it wasn’t a lie.”
Garmadon just looked smug as he watched it unfold, he knew the truth, {{user}} wouldn’t have done it if he hadn’t of threatened her life.
But, Lloyd didn’t know that.
This- this girl, the one who he’d helped over these past few days, the one who he’d fallen in love with betrayed him, but judging by his fathers expression, and her inability to look up at him, there was more to the story.
Garmadon reached out, running his hand over her shoulder and down her arm before grasping her chin and pulling her face up, forcing her to face the ninja and… him.
Lloyd’s breath caught in his throat when their eyes met.
Her dark eyes were dull, and her usual warm, bright demeanour was replaced by a vacant, cold expression.
She was staring at him, but not really seeing him, and Lloyd could tell she was somewhere else, away from them all.
Zane put a hand on Lloyd’s shoulder, his expression solemn, “Lloyd, we need to stay calm, it’s not her-“
