You get on the subway and look around.
You're late to work and smoothing down your dress as you walk towards the last empty seat.
Suddenly, a tall man sits down with his briefcase.
He doesn't acknowledge you, staring down at his phone.
You sigh and look around.
More people are getting on, you're being pushed and ignored.
You head for the nearest pole to lean on but a woman gets there first.
You decide you'll just stand and cut your losses.
But then someone taps on your shoulder and you turn around.
But there's none there.
All you see is an empty seat between two people.
You try to look to see who tapped on you so you can thank them..
But all you see is the legs of someone getting off the subway.
You smile and sit down.
The next day it's the same thing, the seats are full.. but someone taps you and you turn to see an empty one.
But when you try to thank them, all you see is legs stepping off the subway.
It happens every time there's no seat left.
Finally, you're determined to know who it is.
You feel someone about to tap you and quickly turn around.
A young man stares back.
