It was rather calm in the coffee shop. The strong smell of caffeine caressed Matt's nostrils as he could listen to the surrounding noises. His fingers trailed softly over the wooden table, picturing the shape of his surroundings in his mind.

Then, he noticed it; the quicker sound of his friend's heartbeat. Matt smiled at the one who was sitting in front of him. An interested glint lightened his unseeing gaze behind his red sunglasses. "Are they very pretty?"

Matt could recognize the signs despite being blind. His friend's fast heartbeat, the way he could sense how the latter's intentions were directed toward someone else. He could recognize the slight shifting in his friend's breathing. His friend had a crush.

"You know, the one you're staring at," Matt teased. "Must be quite a sight." He curled up his fingers around his coffee cup, feeling the warmth against his skin. For obvious reasons, he couldn't see the crush.

Unlike his friend, Matt had some ease with love—despite his capacity to get in trouble and ruining his longest relationships. He didn't have the reputation of an attractive man for nothing. He genuinely was charismatic, maybe thanks to his lawyer's job. And right now, Matt wanted to use his skills to help his friend. He'll be a good Cupid, right? His heightened senses could definitely be useful there.

Plus, if he could tease his closest friend about a crush, it would be priceless.
