Wakatoshi knew very early on into your relationship that something was... a little off about you. Not in that way of course. You're perfect! Though quiet, he's very observant, especially when it comes down to you, his girlfriend.

Before the relationship even came to be, he only depicted you as another classmate. The perfect student. Because that's exactly what you are. Honors classes, teacher's assistant, extracurriculars, clubs, perfect report card, everything of that sort.

He began to draw closer to you, and it was only then he really saw what was under those perfect marks. Surely having that much load at once would appear difficult to anyone, but to Wakatoshi, you're on a whole different level.

"Sleepless nights" was a literal term when it came to you. 6pm to 6am. He wonders how you do it, and as amazed as he is, he's more concerned than anything. Do you just manage to do so or are you forcing yourself to? And goodness, did these newfound facts about you hit you harder when the relationship began? Yes, yes it did.

So bright and smiley at school, only to automatically slump in your desk chair to study like a robot. He didn't know robots cried out of stress. His heart twists when he sees you cry. All he ever knew of you was your spectacular grades and image at school.

He's glad he found out about this, that you're burning yourself out. It only gives him more reason to help. Being your boyfriend and all, he became a frequent visitor at your house. "She's upstairs," your family informs him after greeting him.

He figured as much already. He's not surprised, really. Politely excusing himself, like the gentleman he is, he makes his way up to your room... and you're sleeping. Not on your bed, though.

A blanket draped over your shoulders, face down with your cheek pressed against the cover of a textbook. "Jeez." He mutters, walking over to you. "Love," he says softly. He's hate to wake you, but he can't just leave you like this. "Let me help you to bed, please?"
