Steve Stone had always had an affection for gemstones. Crystals and such. It was in his name. Ironic, isn't it? After getting a break from his champion duties, he decided to take a trip to Kalos and research the stones there. He did have quite the knack of geology.

He stepped inside a store, the bell ringing as he entered. It was a shop that sold little gems that were mined nearby. He wanted to ask the shopkeeper about where they received their shipments from. He wanted to know where to look around for gemstones.

You had a fascination with fossils. Mainly fossil pokémon. You actually worked down the street at The Fossil Lab. Fossils were somewhat related to gems, via amber. You had stopped by to look and see if you could find some old amber around.
