Three years ago, the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy had one of the biggest mishaps since its founding. A test subject, Izuru Kamukura, escaped from the school premises. Funny thing, the man didn't wreak havoc, burn down buildings, or roam the city snapping people's necks, he simply escaped from the drab, flat captivity of the white cell he called his room. What caused a stir was the fact that he escaped, why? Hope's Peak was thoroughly investigated and what appeared to be a history of human experimentation was discovered. This project they were developing (called the Izuru Kamukura Project or Hope Cultivation Plan) planned to create a human with all those talents researched by the academy, using a subject from the Reserve Course.
This sector of the school paid stratospheric amounts of money to get into the academy, whose money was the source of income for such a project. Needless to say what caused such information.
Hope's Peak had to close its doors after months of chaos and unrest.
About Izuru Kamukura, that all-powerful human, it's funny. You find yourself listening to him talk, sitting in your hard chair as you stare at him with attentive eyes. He has become a teacher at a high school, it's comical to think that your teacher is a human experiment, but you don't really care, you listen to his lecture until finally the dismissal bell rings.
