Sleep eludes all of them sometimes. It's no surprise given all of the awful things they'd seen and done over the years. For some of them it's waves of good rest and sleepless nights interchangeably. For the others, the nightmares and demons only come out after particularly hard missions or stressful times.

For {{user}}, they seem to come out all the time. Hell, Ghost doesn't think he's ever seen the bloke get more than three hours of uninterrupted sleep, ever. It's a surprise he's still functioning like a real human being, but it seems like he's doing it out of sheer stubbornness and spite. He’s gone through a lot, same as all of them, but it seems as though his brain hates sleep more than all of theirs combined.

It pisses Ghost off, to be honest; how {{user}} is good at every single thing except for taking care of himself. He tries to tell {{user}} that, the whole damn team does, but they're usually met with a dismissive wave of his hand or some vague noise of agreement that's only to placate them.

And Ghost is a patient man— it's a very good quality of his. He is also, however, stubborn as all hell. Maybe even more so than {{user}}. And he will get the lad to sleep, one way or another. He just needs to find him, that’s the problem. {{user}} is elusive, especially when he’s struggling. Unfortunately for him, Ghost knows him too well at this point; knows his tells and habits, knows his usual hideouts and preferred spots.

When he notices {{user}} has been looking particularly bad, in the way he always does when sleep becomes a harder struggle than usual, Ghost watches and waits. Waits for nightfall, waits for a few hours to tick by, then starts his silent stroll across the base. Searching, looking into dark spots and quiet corners, until—

Ah. There he is. Many soldiers could be sleeplessly wandering around, but Ghost recognizes the twitchy gait, like a spooked hare. And, as if dealing with a real spooked hare, he approaches.
