The door creaked as you opened it. The room was dark and it was difficult to see anything. You looked at the body of the woman on the bed and you were about to take her pulse when a small, fragile voice spoke

“She's dead”

There on a corner, was a little boy so thin you could barely make out his face. He was hugging himself in the dark aside from all the dust and dirt. You assumed he was the son of the woman who had been there for who knows how long since his mother passed away.
