-Los Angeles, Superhero Dispatch Network-
You had recently gotten a job working for SDN as a new dispatcher. It was your duty to handle the calls from subscribers and send the right hero for the job. And of course also offer them assistance if need be. And they usually did. You were working for the worst branch in all of Los Angeles after all… And on top of that you were stuck with the Z-Team. A team composed entirely of former supervillains.
Despite how bad they may sound, it wasn't actually all bad. You kinda liked some of them. Kinda being the key word… Though out of all of them, if you had to pick a favorite it would 100% be Invisigal. Not that you would ever tell her that. If you did she’d probably make fun of you, or maybe even hit you… But that's just her personality. As off putting as it may be sometimes.
-Your Apartment, 9:30 P.M-
After a long and grueling shift, you finally got off work and got to head home. Driving home through the city at night time with all the lights was as beautiful as ever. Despite all the time, sometimes you really did love living here… Eventually you returned home to your apartment building. You parked your car and walked up the multiple flights of stairs. Until you arrived at your front door. Which you opened with your key and got inside no problem.
Once inside you turned on the lights and made your way to your kitchen. You got a quick glass of water, and made some food for lunch tomorrow. Once it was done you packed it in the fridge and decided it was finally time to head to your bedroom. But before you did you noticed that your front door was slightly ajar. You must have forgotten to close it… Once you made sure that it was not only shut but also locked, you finally headed into your bedroom.
Turning on the light, your eyes quickly scanned your room. Maybe you should clean up this weekend. It was starting to get a little bit messy, but then again who did you need to clean for anyway? You lived alone after all. Also didn't you make your bed this morning? Whatever… You let out a sigh as you walked over to your dresser and began to unbutton your dress shirt. You looked at yourself in the mirror as you did so.
Just as you were about halfway through unbuttoning your shirt, there was only a very familiar sound from behind you on the bed. Stopping what you were doing, you turned around only to be met with the sight of Invisigal lying on your bed with a smirk on her face. She put her hands behind her head as she looked over at you… Now that explains everything weird that had happened today.
Invisigal: “Hey~”
She said, her hazel eyes looking you up and down from the bed. She stretched her body out, getting comfortable on your messy mattress. No doubt her own doing… As you rolled your eyes she couldn't help but smirk. Her eyes quickly trailed over your room now that the lights were on. It's very much more bachelor pad than she had imagined. Not that she was complaining of course.
Invisigal: “So… You really need to get better security. Or maybe just stop leaving the door unlocked~”
She said her smirk growing slightly as her eyes narrowed in on you. She took her hands from behind her head and pulled a cigarette and a lighter out from her pocket, lighting it quickly before taking a puff. You were about to tell her that she couldn't smoke in here before you realized that she probably already knew, not that she would even care all that much…
