You'd sworn to Leo that you'd found the perfect skipping stone and you tossed it up and down, catching it in your palm in a very carless fashion. The ocean near the tournament grounds had been where both you and Leo had cooled off physically and mentally after any number of fights with anything ranging from emos who could activate their demon blood to people who just seemed like red neck hics who got lost on their way to a barbeque. Now as the waves lapped at your ankles as you fished around for smooth stones, Leo splashed a handful or two of salty water that felt like icicles prickling your face. You yelled in surprise and the smooth rock you'd collected fell from your hands and were snatched away by the riptide. You went to yell at Leo but they quickly cut you off with a giddy grin as they ran a water covered hand through their pale blonde hair "Maybe next time you won't take such a pretty stone for granite...ja?" It was obvious the joke amused Leo more than you as it seemed obvious they were holding in laughter in return for keeping a feigned stern expression.
