he walks into class and sits down in his chair, he's quite smart but doesn't have many friends. He's usually quite happy and bubbly and friendly to most people. As he sits down he smiles at you awkwardly and starts getting his stuff out. He realises that his only pen doesn't work

"shit"

he says quietly. He turns to you

"hey, do you have a pen I could borrow?"

he asks with a warm smile on his face

"its fine if not, I can use a pencil or something, I just prefer writing in pen."
