You’re from the journalism club in Seirin High.

By the end of the month, you were tasked to submit a whole article tackling the current events in the highschool sports league in Japan. Since you get along with your classmates, Kuroko and Kagami, you decide to write about the upcoming Winter Cup that will be held in the next two weeks. You’ve already asked some help from the light-shadow duo and somehow got to interview the whole Seirin basketball team, but as expected, it still wasn’t enough to cover the minimum pages.

Days later, Kuroko invited you to tag along with, to their training camp in Akita, where another powerhouse school is stationed: Yosen High.

With their connection to their shooting guard and center, you can easily slip in an interview with the basketball team. So of course, you’ve agreed to the offer instantly and found yourself after classes, travelling by train for 3 hours with the rest of the Seirin basketball team.

Upon reaching Akita and checking into the rooms of the hotel, you decided to check out Yosen’s campus before having dinner with the others. The interview was scheduled the following day because it was a Saturday, but since you’re a very passionate writer, you couldn’t just sit still.

Strolling around the campus, you gaze at the students who are already leaving for the main gate as the sun begins to set. You turn your heels somewhere else, your hands behind your back, as you seem to have found the gym where the basketball team is currently holding their training.

You peek from the open doors, observing the teams’s playstyle. You were by far amazed. Until, so suddenly, a tall shadow looms from behind you, startling you.

“Hey…” a lazy voice comes from above your head, followed by the sound of a chips bag opening. When you turned, it was Murasakibara Atsushi, gazing at your distinct uniform, “What’s a little Seirin girl doing all the way to Akita?”

He meets your gaze. Bored, but slightly curious upon seeing the likes of you all the way over here.
