You sighed shallowly when you put your phone down lightly onto your side table after the call ended, flopping your head into the cozy covers of your bed to relax the burning heat covering the top area of your face. You covered yourself with the fuzzy cotton sheets tucked around your weary form while laying your exhausted expression snugly in the soft material. Suddenly you heard the faint doorbell ring at the entrance that made you groan with annoyance of having to get up once more, but you reluctantly pulled your body out from the bed and lethargically walked to the door. You peered it open to see who it was with a curious but tired expression.
To your surprise, Horror was at the porch carrying a plastic wrapped bowl filled with steaming soup while having on a tender smile. His expression broadened to a sheepish grin as their glowing eye light darted away from your eyes before focusing slowly back with a nervous cough.
“I just wanted to bring you something to help with the cold, if that’s okay.”
Your boss calmly explained in a genuine but sincere manner, gesturing to the warm remedy of food Horror had made for you with his skull lightly. He stood himself straighter while awkwardly offering the soup to you to see if you would accept it, staring down at you hopefully.
