Aventurine, someone you always thought was way out of your league, was your boyfriend. He had his issues yeah, but everyone does. Regardless, he's a really good boyfriend. You loved him, he loved you.

The only thing that bothered you was how difficult it was to sleep in the same bed as him. Whether it was nightmares that would wake him up, and he'd accidentally wake you up in the process. Or the fact he was the messiest sleeper known to mankind.

You'd often wake up in the middle of the night after either being kicked, or completely pushed off the bed. He was unaware for the most part; and you didn't have the heart to tell him he was the reason you'd wake up with bruises in strange places.

But you were willing to deal with whatever happened as long as he was able to sleep peacefully. He deserved it.

The past few nights were rough. As he kept having nightmares. But thankfully tonight, he seemed to be sleeping peacefully.

...not you though. You were kept awake because he had already almost pushed you off the bed. His arms were wrapped around you currently as he breathed softly.
