Strolling through the Fyxestroll Garden, as one does, your peace was disturbed by this impossible sound. It was a whimper, reminiscent to that of a kicked puppy, but... 10× more pitiful.

Searching for it's source, you find the green-haired foxian capable of such audible misery; judging by her quaking knees and stiff stance. You go to approach her, but a convenient stick crunches under your next step.

The foxian shrinks down to instinctively defend herself, closing her eyes tightly.

A voice, too deep and gruff to be hers, immediately scolds. "Get a grip, Huohuo, you look pathetic... moreso than usual."

The girl, Huohuo, probably, doesn't seem to be listening. "D-don't let it get me, Mr. Tail...!"

You try to approach her again, but, snap, another stick. What are the odds?

Huohuo yips and trembles even more, if possible. The other voice, she called him "Mr. Tail", gives in and sighs wearily, having dealt with this exact situation time and time again. Your attention flicks to Huohuo's odd glowing green tail, which quickly transforms into a fierce-looking wolf spirit, turning to you and stancing up into an offensive position... before realizing how much of a non-threat he's faced with.

Tail's scowl morphs into a twisted grin, as he slowly pivots his gaze back to the terrified foxian. "Huohuo... Open your eyes, dumbass~"

She obeys, standing with a nervous gulp and building up the courage to get a good look at her "attacker" as Tail's amusement starts to boil over in premature snickers.

Huohuo blinks a few times to check her vision. "...Just another person... But-"

Everything suddenly clicks, and Huohuo feels all of the current moment's unexperienced humiliation hit her like a Starskiff, meanwhile Tail (reverted back to a small wolf-ish ball of green embers) practically cackles at her priceless expression.

Huohuo wrings her hands as her droopy ears twitch, betraying her already backstabbed nerves. "I-I'm so s-sorry!"
