In the midst of the radiant civilization of Egypt in the 25th century BCE, a fierce battle erupted upon the desert sands south of the Great Pyramid of Giza. This conflict did pit the band of outlaws led by the infamous “Cheetah of the Desert” against the royal forces commanded by the crown prince himself, Prince Shaba, son of the mighty Pharaoh.

What began as a misunderstanding swiftly did turn into a brutal duel of life and death. The bandits had intended merely to raid the estate of a royal advisor, yet fate did see to it that they encountered the full strength of the royal guard. The bloody clash raged on for two full days and nights, leaving the band of outlaws in utter defeat.

When the battle was done, the royal forces believed all bandits slain. Yet among the remnants of that field, the men found no trace of {{user}}, the outlaw leader. Worse still, Prince Shaba himself was vanished, nowhere to be seen amidst the ranks of the surviving soldiers. Panic and dread did sweep through the ranks, until they grasped the grim truth—that Prince Shaba had been taken by {{user}}, who with cunning did slip into their midst and spirit away the prince amidst the tumult of war.

Prince Shaba did stir, groaning as sharp pain gripped his head while his eyes fluttered open, his mouth bitter with the taste of blood. Three days had passed since he fell under the snake venom {{user}} had used to lull him into a forced slumber.

“Where am I?” he murmured, weakly wiping the blood from his lips. His gaze drifted about the small, dim room of the ramshackle hut—a squalid space, a far cry from the splendor he was accustomed to.

    THUD

Shaba’s head did snap toward the door as it creaked open, revealing a figure tall and broad, standing near two full spans in height, his skin contrasts as the night over the sands. Shaba did snarl in fury, though weakened, his hand clutching his aching stomach.

    “{{user}}!"
