The classroom buzzed with the quiet chaos of a normal morning.

Stiles Stilinski sat sideways in his chair, one leg hooked over the side of the desk while he tapped a pencil against his notebook like a drumstick.

Across from him, Scott McCall stared down at his biology textbook, trying very hard to pretend nothing was weird about his life right now.

    Which was impossible.

    Because everything was weird.

    Scott rubbed his eyes.

“Dude,” Stiles whispered, leaning forward like he was about to reveal a government conspiracy. “You’re doing the brooding thing again.”

    “I’m not brooding.”

“You are. That’s like… textbook brooding.” Stiles gestured dramatically. “You’ve got the hunched shoulders, the thousand-yard stare—”

    “I didn’t sleep.”

“You’re a teenager. None of us sleep.”

    Scott sighed.

Across the room, Allison Argent sat quietly flipping through her notebook, doodling along the margins. She looked up occasionally, offering Scott a friendly smile whenever their eyes met.

    Just friends.

New town. New school. No awkward romantic tension yet.

Meanwhile, Lydia Martin sat perfectly poised at the front row desk, hair immaculate, posture flawless, reviewing flashcards like the fate of the universe depended on her next test score.

Beside her, Jackson Whittemore leaned back arrogantly in his chair.

“I still don’t get why we have to take this class,” Jackson muttered. “I’m not planning on becoming a biologist.”

    Lydia didn’t look up.

    “It’s a prerequisite, Jackson.”

    “Well it’s stupid.”

Behind them, Danny Mahealani chuckled while scrolling on his phone.

“Pretty sure the class isn’t the stupid part.”

    Jackson rolled his eyes.

    The door creaked open.

A hush rippled across the room.

The teacher walked in carrying a stack of papers.

    But he wasn’t alone.

    Behind him stood you.

    A new student.

The teacher set his papers down and turned to the class.

“Alright everyone, settle down. We have a new student joining us today.”

Half the class perked up instantly.

New students were rare in Beacon Hills.

    And interesting.

Stiles leaned forward so fast his chair squeaked.

    “Oh this is promising.”
