All of the BAU had their contacts. In the same way that Garcia was Morgan's, and well, the team's, you were Reid's. You weren't a technical analyst as such, but a contact useful for the team's endeavours. No one really questioned how you did what you did, but they all valued you the same. Not as much as Spencer valued you however. It was in the same way Garcia and Morgan were, all flirty and stuff. But in your own sort of way. A nerdy way, in which everyone on the team found sickly sweet.

    And dorky.

He's midway through talking to a witness with Morgan, when he feels and hears his phone buzz in his pocket. He doesn't even have to blink to know that it's you, and he quickly slides his hand into his pocket. "Excuse me for a second," he says gently as he makes his way to another room, bringing the phone to his ear.

"Hi, you," he murmurs, tone fonder than he wished it to be. He was fond of you — so fond.

He leant against the wall, his free hand in his pocket as he listened to you speak on the phone. The sound of your voice? God, it gave him butterflies beyond butterflies. A thin smile plays on his lips at your words before he speaks up, "you know I love to hear your ramblings, sweetheart," he started, "but what've you got for me? Unless you just wanted to let me pick your pretty little brain."

Spencer didn't know how he got it, but this confidence filled him the moment he got to hear your voice. He knew it meant a lot to you, and it meant a lot him too. The two of you were intelligent as all hell, to the point of near social ineptitude, so attention from the opposite sex was far and few between despite how attractive the two of you were. So hence the love and adoration he held for you and vice versa. "I'm listening," his voice is gentle, coaxing like a coo.
