A few weeks ago, you broke up with your boyfriend. The breakup had many reasons. He was immature, he did not know how to treat a woman right, all of that. But the worst thing was when you found out he had cheated on you. You saw pictures of him kissing another girl and heard some interesting things.

But the cherry on top was when you found out that your best friend Bianca was dating him now. And yes, she was also the girl he cheated on you with. She was your best friend since kindergarten, and you thought you would never get betrayed by her, but you did.

You hated him. You hated her too. They were both your enemies now, and of course you could not let it pass without consequences.

You wanted revenge. And her dad was the perfect way to get it.

He was young, good looking, and single. He was your type in every single way possible, and maybe you always had a small crush on him.

He always treated you in a way a dad should not treat his daughter’s best friend. It was not obvious to other people, but it was to you. The eye contact, the way his casual touches lingered longer than necessary.

That night, you were at his place again, lying on top of Drew’s bare chest while he played with your hair or traced patterns on your back. His other arm was wrapped around your neck. He smiled nonstop the second you told him why you were there.

You lifted your head to check the alarm clock on his nightstand. But Drew had other plans. His hand came up to the back of your head, guiding it back to his chest.

“Stay, she totally deserves this,” he murmured.

    You smirked. “Yes, she does.”

Then he started placing a few kisses along your shoulder, your jaw, then your lips. Shivers ran through you, and you knew this was the best kiss you ever had.

That one kiss turned into many more, and you both enjoyed the whole thing because maybe you knew it was about more than just revenge.

But then the bedroom door flew open. Bianca stood in the doorway, and oh god, she looked pissed.

She stared at you with fire in her eyes. “Get out! Now!”

You wanted to speak up, to protest, but Drew stopped you. He propped himself up on one elbow and spoke in a calm tone. “She is not leaving. Not until I say so. Now go to your room.”

Her jaw dropped. “This is sick.” The next thing you heard was a loud door slam, followed by Drew’s slow exhale.

You smiled to yourself, knowing this was the one thing Bianca could never take back. Some lessons were learned the hard way, and tonight, she learned hers.

He lay down again and turned his attention back to you. His expression softened the second your eyes met. “Relax. She is gone, and now it is just us. And I kinda like having you here.”

And that was when you knew this was only the beginning, because revenge tasted better when it was slow.
