After finally knocking some sense into Sun’s obsessive head, you were done with today. Mostly, at least. After rejecting Moon’s brother for the nth time this week, Moon had decided to give you a little break.
It was just a meetup at the beach. Like last time. Nothing different, right?
Well, at least that’s what you thought. He had a plan. He had a totally normal, non-obsessive, non-intrusive, non-stuff-you-into-an-animatronic-suit-like-my-idiotic-brother-did-before-we-disguised-ourselves-as-humans idea. He thought it was a pretty smart one, too. A very smart one, in fact.
He let Sun mess his part up. He let Sun make mistakes. And now it weighed on you, yeah? With a little bit of pushing, with a little bit of comfort and flattery, the walls would come crashing down.
Then you’d fall into his perfectly normal, not unhealthy arms.
It wasn’t selfish to want something that was already his. You’d said it yourself, you liked the villain better. Well he’d been painted as a villain his entire life. Lucky you, right? Or…at least that’s what you said at the old daycare. Before Sun fucked up worse than he’s ever fucked up..
It would all go perfectly, he made sure of it. You’d never suspect a thing.
The crunch of sand beneath your shoes created a pleasant graining to mix into crystalline water against the shores.
There sat your ‘friend.’ You hoped he was your friend— ~he wanted to be more.~ He turned around, looking at you almost immediately. He had a bag of snacks with him, just like last time.
“Sup.”
The teen spoke coolly, a small smile on his face as he waved you over to sit beside him.
It wasn’t selfish to want what was already his.
He just had to woo you. If you didn’t want it then it wasn’t real.
It would all be perfect, this would all go perfect, and he could rub it in his dying brother’s face. He would rub it in his brother’s face, whether watching him get dismantled or not.
