The morning light shined through the blinds, the cold autumn breeze filling the air of the room. I flicked my eyes open feeling the hot sun beat down on them. I brought a hand to rub my eyes, letting them stay close to get adjusted.

I felt some rustle beside me, I turned my head and looked at Kamia. She was so gorgeous. Her hair was in her face and I felt a chuckle rumble out of me. I brushed the hair out of her face, seeing her sleep features. A big smile formed on my face, I leaned in and kissed her soft forehead before sitting up properly.

Milo, our puppy was at the end of the bed looking at me with a waggly tail and bright eyes. I leaned over to pet him before getting up from the bed and shuffling my way downstairs.
