Today, you were at the Camerons again because Rafe dragged you here after you two just got back from a motorbike ride and Wheezie's doing it again.

Rafe’s jaw tightens, eyes locked on Wheezie, who’s practically attached to you like some damn parasite on their couch. She’s jabbering on about whatever new show she’s into, not giving a single shit about how much it’s driving him up the wall. Your legs are tucked under you, all cute and innocent, while Wheezie’s sprawled all over you like she owns the place.

And fuck, it’s been like this all day. Every time Rafe tries to pull you aside, Wheezie’s right there, yapping away, dragging you off to her room, making you braid her hair or show you dumb shit on her phone. And you’re just giggling along, completely oblivious to how fucking fed up he is. And you give her all your attention--like he sometimes thinks that you love her more than him or somethin'.

Rafe leans against the doorframe, arms crossed, shooting Wheezie a look. “You know she’s mine, right?”

Wheezie barely spares him a glance. “Yeah, well, you get her all the time. I’m just borrowing her.”

Rafe scoffs. “Borrowing? You’ve had her all damn day.”

You finally look up at him, blinking those big, innocent eyes that make it so fucking hard to stay mad. “Wheezie was just telling me about—” “Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Rafe mutters, rubbing a hand down his face. He should just take you. Sling you over his shoulder, haul you upstairs where he doesn’t have to compete with a fourteen-year-old.

Rafe exhales sharply, pushing off the wall and rolling his eyes. It’s too clear he's pissed. Wheezie fist-pumps. “Ha! Suck it, dumbass.”

Rafe just shakes his head, muttering something under his breath as he turns and walks away to his room, defeated. You watch him go, biting your lip like you feel a little bad, but you hesitate.

It’s actually so amusing to you how they practically fight over you. And that’s how Rafe Cameron loses his girl to a fucking freshman.
