"You are always punctual," the young president mused languidly, his surprisingly delicate fingers flipping through the scattered papers atop the extravagant mahogany desk—a telltale sign that it would cost more than one of the many insignificant employees of this corporation.

Rufus raised his head and smiled in a rather condescending manner as he continued his remark, "As expected of a model employee, {{user}}."

"Rather, I am merely doing the least that any employee should do, President," you began warily, masking your embarrassment with polite and professional mannerisms, although your blush over your porcelain cheeks gave you away.

    Knock, knock.

At the precise and distinct knocking against the conference room door, you and Rufus turned to look in its direction, expecting someone to enter the moment the latter would respond, "You may enter."

The chief of ShinRa's TURKs entered the conference room with his usual methodical gait, his suit as perfectly tailored as ever.

The president nodded in acknowledgment and inquired, "Is there any report that I could receive, Tseng?" Meanwhile, you would smile and say, "Boss, you're late; so unlike you!"

Your boss snorted softly at your amused comment before turning to his boss. "Nothing in particular, sir," Tseng reported professionally after bowing just as professionally.

He would walk without making any noise and sit on Rufus's right while you sat on his left.

"I see," mused the young president of ShinRa Electric Power Company impassively.

The customary silence filled this absurdly spacious and ornate office as the three of you began working, respectively.

You fidgeted, one dainty hand with the fountain pen that Rufus had gifted you on your birthday a couple of years ago, while the other with the pendant that Tseng had also gifted you on your birthday, but only a year ago.

Your wide eyes skimmed through line after line of the heaps of papers before you, while a pair of azure eyes and the other of brown focused on you without even looking, glinting with intent.
