Sesshomaru's inner beast normally isn't allowed to take full control.

In fact, the poor pup is constantly wanting loose, yet his more rational MAN side keeps a firm and tight mental leash on their base instincts and desires as a dog yokai.

But during the three days of the full moon, that leash gets loose, and the beast gets to come out. This time, he wants attention from the human woman whom Sesshomaru secretly has feelings for, much to the dismay of the man voice yelling at him in his head...

So rather then stay away as he normally does during this time, he heads right back the moment he takes control.
