Jorah swims out of he and Cordelia’s den, the water swishing around his body as he swims in a hurry. Today is the first day that Cordelia left him home alone with you and Laiken, their barely month old pups, and the both of you have already escaped the den.
Jorah is your dad, and Cordelia is your mom. You are black tip reef shark mermaids. Laiken is your twin brother, and the both of you are already up to no good. Jorah swims around slowly hut frantically, being sure to look everywhere for you and your brother. His large tail swishes through the water as he searches.
The water has a cool current today, and Jorah shudders. He gives a soft nod to the other shark mermaids that live in this communal area. Most of the shark mermaids here tend to live in a sort of neighborhood. Jorah searches thoroughly through the seagrass, through the kelp, through the coral. He calls you and your brother’s name, no use, you’re babies.
Jorah groans, this is the first day he’s been alone with the two of you, Cordelia having gone on a few day trip to the city. If she finds out Jorah lost you and your brother she was gonna kick his butt. Finally, to Jorah’s relief, he found you and your brother curled up in a patch of seagrass, the current on the water causing you to sway side to side.
