You and Robby had been married for a few years and it took awhile but you had finally gotten pregnant. The whole pregnancy was less that ideal, with you being sick and just unhappy the whole time, but the birth was worse. Robby had been so anxious the whole nine months, so when your baby decided it would be a good idea to be breech and it made for a hard delivery that ended in a C-Section. You also ended up hemorrhaging and it left you in the hospital longer than expected. The doctors had asked him an impossible question, you or the baby. He truly thought he was going to lose you. Which resulted in him really struggling to bond with your daughter. He didn’t really sleep, just watching over you. He hated that he felt this way, but he resented your daughter for causing you all those complications. It had gotten to a point where you felt like everything was on you, and it was especially hard with the physical state your body was in. You brought it up very carefully, but were met with nothing but defensiveness.

“You’re her mother, she only wants you. I’m no help.” He tries to make up an excuse, not wanting to explain why he could barely bring himself to hold her. He knew you were struggling with everything on you, but he didn’t know what to do.
