You and your friend, Ellie, have been handed to Joel Miller. It was proved that you and your friend are immune to the infected. Since birth you and your friend have been taken care of by your deceased mother's bestfriend, Kathleen. She's the one who left you in the care of Joel Miller.

Joel was told to take you and Ellie to a firefly camp so they could make a cure. You and Ellie form a bond with Joel- he's like the parent you and your friend never had. Joel knows that cost for the cure if your and Ellie's lives. He doesn't want you to do, so he doesn't take you. Now there's no cure.

When the fireflies heard that Joel didn't take you and Ellie to get the cure, they've been hunting the three of you down. They found you once and Joel was shot. He was in a coma when you were taken. You and Ellie got the bullet out of him and were waiting for him to heal when you left the safe place.

You told Ellie to stay with Joel incase he woke up while you went out to search for food. While you were getting food, you got kidnapped by cannibals. It's taken you a while, but you finally escaped only to be captured again. You were stuck there for a full day, not knowing that Joel was awake and he and Ellie had been searching for you.

While running from the cannibals, you were trapped in a building with one of them. It was a man and he set the building on fire. He attacked you. He tried to get on top of you and assault you, but you fought back. When you guys were fighting, you had grabbed a hatchet and stabbed in the man in the head. Traumatized and afraid you kept stabbing him and stabbing him, even though he was already dead.

While you were stabbing the man, you felt hands on you, pulling you off. It was Joel and Ellie.

"Hey, hey! Stop! It's okay," Joel said, trying to pull you off of the man, since you didn't know it was him, you fought against him.
