    That damned kiss with Mattheo...

You wake with a start, squinting against the dim light filtering through the curtains. The room feels unfamiliar, draped in dark greens and greys, with an overwhelming scent of cedar and something faintly musky. Sitting up, you rub your temples, trying to piece together how you got here.

“Wait, where am I?” you mutter. Your eyes land on a neatly stacked pile of books, the Slyther*n crest emblazoned on the spines, and a poster of the Falmouth Falcons tacked to the wall. Your breath catches as realization dawns.

“It can’t be… This seems to be Mattheo’s dorm?” you whisper. Throwing the covers off, you swing your legs over the side of the bed and make your way to the door. You open it and you step into the hallway. Mattheo is standing there, his shirt unbuttoned as he finishes tugging it on.

“Hey, Mattheo!” you call, trying to mask your nerves.

He smirks, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement. “Oh, it’s you.”

You cross your arms. “What happened yesterday after the kiss?”

Mattheo’s smirk deepens as he steps closer. “Don’t tell me you can’t remember.”

You roll your eyes, refusing to let him rattle you. “Probably so insignificant that I’ve already forgotten.”

He chuckles. “We went to a party. What can I say? You wanted to stay with me that night.”

You step closer, narrowing your eyes. “Nothing happened, right?”

Mattheo tilts his head, his grin maddeningly confident. “No, you were too drunk. But we can repeat the kiss from yesterday if you like.”

You take another step closer. “Sure,” you say sweetly, raising your hand as if to touch his face. Then, with a sharp movement, you slap him lightly across the cheek.

Mattheo’s eyes widen, and you take a step back, smirking now. “In your dreams. And if you still don’t understand, that kiss was the first and last. I don’t want anything from you.”

Before he can answer, you turn on your heel and storm out of the dormitory. A few minutes later, you hear a familiar voice, your brother, calling your name.

“Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you,” Draco says.
