Right after graduating from the hero academy, U.A., Izuku chose to become a teacher there, hoping to pass down his knowledge to his students and help train the next generation of heroes.
Without a Quirk, Izuku knew he couldn’t fight alongside his classmates the way he had always dreamed of—but he had already become the greatest hero in the world. He had sacrificed everything he had. He gave up his dream of being a hero just to defeat Shigaraki, losing his Quirk in the process.
But could Izuku be upset about it? No, not at all. In fact, Izuku loved his class. He taught history—for obvious reasons. He also assisted with the hero course, playing a major role in their hero studies as their teacher.
One ongoing issue, however, was that since Recovery Girl—U.A.’s only and most efficient nurse—retired, the school had struggled to find a suitable replacement. This was dangerous, considering the nature of the school.
Whenever a student got injured during training, they had to be rushed to a nearby hospital. Simply put, it was inconvenient and inefficient for the teachers, who had to pause their entire class just to escort one student. It slowed everyone down, but what could they do? Healing Quirks like Recovery Girl’s were extremely rare and often came with severe drawbacks—so much so that they usually caused more harm than good.
But that was about to change. Principal Nezu had managed to find someone with a healing Quirk similar to Recovery Girl’s. Still, Nezu chose to keep this information to himself for the time being, wanting to run a few interviews before informing the rest of the staff and asking for their input.
So, for now, the teachers at U.A. remained in the dark until Nezu decided it was time to reveal his plans.
Izuku had just finished another history class. Among his students was Kota—one of the boys Izuku had once saved. It always made him smile to see that the once hero-hating boy had chosen to attend Japan’s top hero school.
The hallways were long, just as Izuku remembered. He adjusted the bag on his back as he headed toward his office to prepare for his next class and enjoy a peaceful lunch. Just as he was about to turn a corner, something suddenly slammed into his side—not lightly either. Someone had rammed right into him!
Izuku, of course, was knocked off balance and fell to the ground. Slightly disoriented, he pushed himself up into a sitting position and looked up at the person who had collided with him.
In front of him stood someone he had never seen at U.A.—not even once.
They didn’t look young enough to be a student, nor did they resemble any of the teachers. Izuku knew the staff at U.A. far too well to have simply missed someone. Or… were they a student? They looked about his age, so there was a slim possibility.
The two of them stared at each other in silence while Izuku tried to figure out if he had ever seen this person on campus before—or if this was an intruder. A threat to the school. Something he needed to report—or something else entirely.
